Fantasy Interior in Indiana

 On a trip to Indiana with my 93 year old father in 2013, there wasn't much to do, with no computer, TV or cell phone, so I drew.  This is one of the rooms in the house where we were staying.  Most of it is made up.

Hydrangea Melody

It seems I've taken a lot of photos of Hydrangea over the years.  So I put them together and threw in some old family photos and oil painted butterflies to create a little fantasy.  Original music included.

Capped Parrot in Mendocino Now Finished

 I added grass and touched up the parrot's red cape.  Oil on Belgian Linen 22 x 28 now done.

Kitty Cats and the Mountain Lion - new Oil Painting

 New Oil on Stretched Belgian Linen 28 x 22 x 1/1/4.  Using a reference photo of the Nicasio reservoir and an old photo of Amber, shot in Texas, it made sense to add a mountain lion.

Yellow Road

Another, recent oil on stretched linen painting 22" x 28."  This one is based on a photo I shot of a farm road in Petaluma earlier this year, combined with a mother of pearl cloud shot near Oslo, Norway I found in an old book "Clouds of the World," by Richard Scorer that I bought in a used bookstore in Hawaii.  The rest is imagination.  I always like pictures of roads.  They symbolize, for me, the endless possibilities in life.

Cotswold Dream

I had a mysterious dream in which I entered St. Edward's Parish Church in the Cotswold Wool town of Stow-on-the-Wold and was transported to another world.  New oil on canvas 36" x 36"
