Fantasy Interior in Indiana
On a trip to Indiana with my 93 year old father in 2013, there wasn't much to do, with no computer, TV or cell phone, so I drew. This is one of the rooms in the house where we were staying. Most of it is made up.

Mothers Day Family Art Project
Mother's day was celebrated a day early in Walnut Creek with some group art
Top: Redo of 4 square drawing, done by three sisters and one (nearly) 97 year old mother
Middle: Original 4 square drawing; done with each of 3 sisters having a square and the mother filling in wherever (blue person, pink accents, etc.)
Bottom: Diptych (ie art done in two pieces, no hinge) joined together here, of a green-headed bird, perhaps in flames? The result of 4 sisters working together in harmony.

In fact, there are too many race Ts for one quilt, so I'm having to be selective, but I also want to personalize it, hence the Asics, Newtons and Nike's above.

Sunday Drawing Fun with Family

I was drawing birds with the aim of designing some new fabric on Spoonflower, then took a turn at drawing my mother (as she drew me) and finally drew one of the still life props set out for inspiration - a wooden artist model.

Faces
Four pictures above are examples of how to draw people. That is, if you don't want them to look like themselves! Top photo of "High School Girl," does not resemble the model. Bottom three sketches of a Leonardo Da Vinci drawing, look like three different girls. Fortunately someone invented the camera.
